「中市空汙減量成效驚人」林佳龍：距離目標剩「關鍵8微克」
台中市政府展現處理空汙問題的決心，台中市政府環保局長白智榮今（18）表示PM2.5濃度從2014年每立方公尺27微克到2016年只剩下22.8微克，會繼續往國家訂定的每立方公尺15微克努力，台中市長林佳龍也表示，會積極向中央要求電廠繳納的空汙費8成應該要留在地方，落實環境正義。
台中市政府環保局長白智榮表示，台中市政府從2015年就成立空氣污染減量工作小組，邀博客來網路書局請專家和其他團體一起參與，訂出86項降低污染的方案，現在也逐漸看見成效，到2016年PM2.5濃度距離國家訂定標準只剩下「關鍵8微克」。
台中市政府表示，空汙減量能也如此成績，除了感謝各地環保團體之外，市議員邱素貞、翁美春、李天生、蔡雅玲、張雅旻、謝明源、江肇國、翁美春、王立任、張玉嬿、謝明源、何敏誠、曾朝榮、楊典忠、劉淑蘭等人也都作出貢獻，如協調台中火力發電廠行降載、幫助業者將鍋爐改為排放量較少的然氣鍋爐以及汰換二行程機車等等。

台中市推出許多改善空氣品質的政策成效都非常優異，如淘汰的二行程機車及汰舊換購電動機車數量居冠六都，另外再加裝油煙防制設備、降低工地裸露的比例、宗教場所今只減量和認養洗街等等都是全國第一，未來更希望透過中部區域聯合治理、推動外埔綠能生態園區稻桿發電再利用等面向，以2020年降至15微克/立方米國家空品標準為目標邁進。
